For over 40 years, Welcome Bay Vet Clinic has been proudly caring for the pets of the Welcome Bay community.
Established in 1986 and family-owned ever since, we've built a reputation for providing compassionate veterinary care in a warm, welcoming environment.
In 2024, Dr Hannah Bain and her husband Darren took over ownership, with long-time friend Sarah Wilson joining as partner/shareholder and Head Nurse, continuing the clinic's strong local roots and commitment to supporting pets and their families.

Home Visits
At Welcome Bay Vets, we understand that visiting the clinic isn’t always easy. Our home visit service provides convenient, compassionate care for pets who find clinic visits too stressful, or for owners who have difficulty with transport. Our in-home euthanasia service allows your beloved companion to remain in familiar surroundings, and gives families greater privacy and freedom to create a quiet, personal farewell.

Saying Goodbye
We understand that saying goodbye is never easy. Our caring team is here to make your pet's final moments as peaceful and comfortable as possible, with gentle sedation to minimise any pain or anxiety.
Emergencies
We ensure 24/7 emergency veterinary care is available to ensure your pets receive immediate and expert care when they need it most.
Dental
By age 5, up to 50% of cats and dogs may already have dental disease. Plaque can quickly lead to gingivitis and periodontal disease, with bacteria potentially affecting overall health. Book a FREE dental check with one of our nurses at Welcome Bay Vets.
Cat Grooming
As cats age or gain weight, grooming can become difficult due to stiffness, arthritis, or limited reach. This can lead to knots, matting, and debris building up in their coat.
Desexing, Ultrasounds, Surgical & Radiology
We offer a wide range of diagnostic and surgical services. In-clinic blood-testing, x-ray, and ultrasound allow for fast results and treatment progression.
Puppy Preschool
Welcome Bay Vets offer regular Puppy Preschool classes for puppies aged 7-14 weeks. Our 3-week course is usually held on Tuesday nights from 6:15pm to 8:00pm.
Puppies experience an important window of learning between approximately 3-14 weeks of age. During this window of development, puppies learn to accept other animals, people, noises and experiences, and if 'puppy socialisation' is done right during this period they grow into well-adjusted, calm dogs. Many behavioural problems in adult dogs could have been prevented with proper socialisation as a puppy.
