Cat Grooming

Knots, matted hair, biddy-bids, conifer leaves, and dags are all troublesome for your cat’s coat; however, explaining this to your cat can be a challenge! Many cats won’t let their owners near them with a brush, and trying to groom them can leave both cat and owner feeling stressed.

Our more senior feline friends may struggle to groom themselves properly as they get older, due to arthritis and stiffness. And then there are the overweight cats who just can’t reach anymore!

At Welcome Bay Vets, each cat is groomed as if he/she were our own. A light sedation is used to ensure a stress-free visit. This sedation can be reversed, which usually means a quick recovery.
