Repeat Prescriptions

Many of our patients are on medications long-term to keep them well. Once authorised by your vet, repeat prescriptions may be requested by phone or email. Please note that we require at least 24-hours notice to prepare prescription repeats, and we don’t charge a prescription fee for this. 

We also offer an urgent, same-day prescription service with a $25.00 fee. 

Where a medication is authorised by your vet for repeats, there is a legal requirement for the amount of medication we can dispense at a time, and for the frequency of regular medication check consultations. The amount dispensed, and frequency of medication checks, is determined by the patient's condition, as well as the New Zealand Veterinary Council regulations. For different medications, medication check consultations may need to be monthly, 3-monthly, or 6-monthly.
